Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB)
Using the exposure compensation setting, you can capture images at different exposure levels, and then select the optimal image later as shown in the example below. This is called AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) shooting.
By changing the shutter speed or aperture automatically, the camera brackets the exposure up to ±3 stops in 1/3-stop increments for three successive shots.

NOTE
- AEB cannot be used with flash, bulb exposures, or when [Multi Shot Noise Reduction] or [HDR Mode] is set.
1. Set the camera's power switch to <ON>.
2. Set the Mode Dial to < P / Tv / Av / M >.
3. Press the <MENU> button to display the menu screen.
4. Press the <
> button and select the [
] tab.
5. Turn the <
> dial and select the [
] tab.
6. Turn the <
> dial to select [Expo. comp./AEB], then press <
>.
7. Set the AEB range.
- Turn the <> dial to set the AEB range.
- Turn the <> dial to set the exposure compensation amount.

When you exit the menu, <
> and the AEB range will be displayed on the LCD panel.
- To cancel AEB, follow step 7 to turn off the AEB range display.
- AEB will be canceled automatically when you set the power switch to <OFF> or when the flash is ready to fire.
