Canon Introduces the New imagePROGRAF A2 Inkjet Printer for Creative Professionals
The new model features newly developed ink that provides superior photo print quality and enhanced durability of printed works

SINGAPORE, 27 September 2024 — Canon today announced the launch of the imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 Professional Photo Printer for photographers and graphic artists who require high-quality photos that can stand the test of time. The new LUCIA PRO II1 pigment inks have excellent lightfastness and improved scratch resistance, making long-term preservation of high-quality printed works possible.

Expressive Reproductions of Photos and Art in High Quality
The imagePROGRAF PRO-510 expands the colour reproduction of dark areas and improves the image quality on fine art paper to achieve a richer colour expression. The printer utilises a new 12-colour ink system that includes red, blue, and two shades of grey ink.
On glossy or semi-glossy paper, the unique ink Chroma Optimizer lends excellent gloss uniformity across different viewing angles and lighting environments, while darker printing zones and shadows can be reproduced with subtlety and fine expression. While printing on fine art paper, the matte black ink can improve black density and enhance contrast. These improvements in print quality ensures superior output that is equivalent to the top of range imagePROGRAF series2 and expand the range of colour expressions in works of art.
Improved Light and Scratch Resistance
The new pigment ink formulation with improved light and scratch resistance enables printed works to last up to 200 years3, so they can be preserved in good condition. The new formulation also provides superior scratch resistance on glossy and lustre surfaces, making it easier to handle during framing, packaging, transportation, and display.
Eco Friendly Packaging
To reduce the usage of disposable plastics, the polystyrene foam found in product packaging has been replaced with recyclable cardboard, contributing less waste to the environment.
