    Solution

You can adjust the camera’s drive and shutter operating characteristics to suit shooting conditions or the lens used.
      Silent Live View Shooting is available only in [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ] or [ ] mode.

      1. Set the camera's power switch to <ON>.

      2. Press the < > button.

      3. Turn the < > dial, to choose either [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ] or [ ].

      4. Press the < > button to display the menu screen.

      5. Press the < > button to select the tab.

      6. Turn the < > dial to select the [ ] tab.

      7. Turn the < > dial to select [ Silent LV Shoot. ], then press < >.

      8. Turn the < > dial to select [ Mode 1 ] or [ Mode 2 ], then press < >.

Mode 1Enables quieter shooting than with [Disable]. Continuous shooting is also possible.
Mode 2When the shutter button is pressed completely, only one shot will be taken. While you keep holding down the shutter button, the camera operation will be suspended. This enables quieter shooting, and operation will resume once you return the shutter button to the halfway position. Even if continuous shooting is set, only a single shot will be taken.
DisableBe sure to set it to [Disable] if you use a TS-E lens for shifting or tilting the lens or if you use an extension tube. If [Mode 1] or [Mode 2] is set, the standard exposure may not be obtained, or an irregular exposure may result.

      IMPORTANT
      • Defocused image areas may be incomplete when shooting near maximum aperture at high shutter speeds. If you dislike the appearance of defocused image areas, shooting as follows may give better results.
      - Shoot with [ : Silent LV shoot.] set to [Disable].
      - Shoot using Silent shutter.
      - Lower the shutter speed.
      - Increase the aperture value.
      • If [Mode 2] is set and you use a wireless remote control (sold separately), the operation will be the same as with [Mode 1].
