Solution
The software currently installed on your computer may not be compatible with the newer camera models.
In such a case, download the software suitable for your camera model from the Canon website and install it. The application software installer will install/update the software as necessary based on the following criteria:
- If the downloaded software version is newer than the version already installed on your computer, an update will be performed.
- If the downloaded software is not installed on your computer, the software will be newly installed.
- If the downloaded software version is older than, or the same as the version already installed on your computer, the current version will be prioritized, and installation will not be performed.
NOTE
Software updates will not affect the cameras you have used before or images previously taken.
