Shooting in Various Scenes (PowerShot D30)
Solution
Choose a mode matching the shooting scene, and the camera will automatically configure the settings for optimal shots.
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press the <
> button.

3. The following screen appears.

Press the <

> buttons to choose [Shooting Mode].
When multiple icons are displayed in the middle of the screen, press the <

> buttons to choose the desired [Shooting mode] ([Portrait] (
) is selected in the image shown above). Press the <FUNC./SET> (

When the icon for the [Shooting Mode] you selected appears in the top-right corner of the screen, the setting is complete.

NOTE
- In [Underwater] (
) mode, shots may look grainy because the ISO speed is increased to suit the shooting conditions. - Because the camera will shoot continuously in [Handheld NightScene] (
) mode, hold it steady while shooting. - In [Handheld NightScene] (
) mode, excessive motion blur or certain shooting conditions may prevent you from obtaining the desired results. - In [Fireworks] (
) mode, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still and prevent camera shake. Additionally, you should set [IS Mode] to [Off] when using a tripod or other means to secure the camera - In [Super Vivid] (

) modes, try taking some test shots first, to make sure you obtain the desired results. - Using the flash in [Color Accent] (

) (1984 x 1488) and cannot be changed. - In [Underwater Macro] (
) mode, optical zoom is set to maximum wide angle and cannot be used.
