    Solution

    You can change the functions assigned to the <Front Dial> () or <Control Dial> () to accommodate your shooting style.

    NOTE
    • The following explanations are provided based on the assumption that the [Shooting Mode] is set to [Program AE] ().
    • To change the functions assigned to the <Front Dial> () or <Control Dial> (), it is necessary to set the [Shooting Mode] to one of the following modes.
    • [Manual] (), [Aperture Priority AE] (), [Shutter Speed Priority AE] (), [Program AE] ().

    Registering functions
    1. Press the <Power> button to turn the camera on.


    2. Press the <MENU> () button.


    3. The following window appears.




     Press the <><> buttons to choose the [Shooting] () tab.
    Press the <><>buttons to choose [Set FUNC.], and then press the <FUNC./SET> () button.


    4. The following screen appears.



    Press the <><> buttons to choose the item you want to register.



    NOTE
    • Functions you can assign to the <Front Dial> () and <Control Dial> () vary depending on shooting mode.
    REFERENCE
    To register functions in [ - ], follow the procedures below. ([Settings])
    1. Press the <><> buttons to choose [ - ].
    2. Press the <><><><> buttons, or turn the () to choose the function you want to register.
    3. Turn the <Front Dial> ( ) to set the function you want to register.


    5. Press the <MENU> button () twice to return to the shooting screen.


    Assignable Functions

    Functions you can assign to the <Front Dial> and <Control Dial> vary depending on shooting mode. On the setting screen, you can assign aspect [Ratio switching], [ISO speed] (), [Dynamic range correction] (), [Shadow correction] (), [White balance correction] (), [Step zooming] (), or [Manual focusing] () in modes indicated by in the following table.

    • When multiple functions are assigned to the <Control Dial> (), press the <ISO> button to switch between them.
