Solution
This section describes the procedure for connecting the power cord. When connecting the power cord, see "Important Safety Instructions" in User's Guide (PDF manual) in the CD-ROM supplied with the printer.
IMPORTANT
Operational requirements and restrictions are indicated at the end of this page. Be sure to read these items carefully in order to operate the printer correctly, and to avoid damage to the printer.
1. Make sure that the power switch of the printer is OFF.

2. Plug the supplied power cord into the power socket.
3. Plug the power plug into the AC power outlet.
IMPORTANT
a. Do not plug the power plug into the auxiliary outlet on a computer.
b. One AC power outlet should be used exclusively for the printer.
c. Do not connect this printer to an uninterruptible power source. This may cause printer malfunction or breakdown at the occurrence of a power failure.
