How to set High-Speed Continuous Shooting (High-speed Burst HQ)
While the shutter button is pressed down, you can shoot up to 10 continuous shots at a maximum speed of approx. 10.3 images per second.
HQ stands for "High Quality".
NOTE
- The focus, brightness and white balance will be set with the first shot.
- Nothing will appear on the screen while shooting.
- There may be a delay after continuous shooting before you can shoot again. Additionally, depending on the memory card, there may be a delay before you can shoot again. Speed Class 6 or higher memory cards are recommended.
- Depending on the shooting conditions, camera settings and the zoom position, the shooting speed may slow down.
- When using Face ID, the location in the image where the name is recorded will be determined in the first shot, and will be recorded in the same place for further shots.
- [ISO speed] is set to [AUTO] ().
- The main functions that are not available in the [High-speed Burst] () mode are as follows:

IMPORTANT
- The position and shape of the operation buttons, screens displayed, and setting items may differ according to the model you use.
1. Set the <Mode Dial> to (
) and then press the <Power> button.
2. Press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
3. The following screen appears.
Operate the <directional buttons> up or down to select the [Rec. Mode]. (If no changes have been made so far, [Portrait] (
) will be displayed.)
Press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
4. The following screen appears.
Operate the <directional buttons> up or down to select the [High-speed Burst HQ] (
).
Press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
5. The following screen appears.
If the [High-speed Burst HQ] (
) icon is displayed on the upper-right part of the screen, the setting is completed.
As long as you hold the <shutter button> down, the camera will shoot successive images.
Release your finger from the shutter button to finish shooting, or shooting will end automatically when the maximum number of images have been shot
Viewing Each Image in a Group (Group Playback)
When playing back images, images taken in [High-speed Burst HQ] (
)mode are displayed in a group with only the first image displayed, however, grouped images can also be viewed individually.
IMPORTANT
If you erase a grouped image, all the images in the group will also be erased. Be sure to exercise adequate caution.
REFERENCE
- To view images taken in [High-speed Burst HQ] () mode as a group, press <MENU>, and then select [On] for [Group Images] in the [Playback Menu]() tab. (By default, [On] is selected.)
