    How to Specify MAC Address Settings (MF4680)

    Solution

      You can restrict the machine access from the computers on the network by specifying the MAC addresses of the computers allowed/forbidden to access the machine.
      1. Press [Additional Functions].
      2. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [SYSTEM SETTINGS], then press [OK].
      If the System Manager ID and System Password have been set, enter the System Manager ID and System Password using the numeric keys, then press [Log In/Out (ID)].
      3. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [NETWORK SETTINGS], then press [OK].
      4. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [TCP/IP SETTINGS], then press [OK].
      5. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [PERMIT RX MAC ADD], then press [OK].
      6. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [ON] or [OFF], then press [OK].
      [OFF]: Disables a MAC address filter.
      [ON]: Enables a MAC address filter.
      NOTE
      If you select [ON], you will be unable to access from MAC addresses which have not been specified.

      7. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select from [PERMIT RX ADD1] through [PERMIT RX ADD5], then press [OK].
      8. Use the numeric keys to enter the MAC address of the computer allowed to access the machine, then press [OK].
      Repeat step 7 and 8 to specify other MAC addresses.
      9. Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby mode.
      10. Restart the machine.
