Solution
If you connect a Canon camera to the printer, you can set the layout when printing from the camera.
CAUTION
- Screens, menu listings, or the locations of buttons may differ depending on the camera model being used.
- A Canon brand camera will be used as an example to explain the print method. If operations are different for the camera you use, refer to the user guide for your camera.
1. Check that there is no memory card inserted and that no computer is connected to printer.
2. Connect the camera to the printer and turn on the printer.
Connect the printer and camera with the interface cable that came with your camera.
Turn on the printer.
3. Press the <Playback> (
) button to turn on the camera.
4. The following screen appears.
Operate the <directional buttons> left or right to display an image to print on the LCD monitor.
When the desired image is shown, you want to print, press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
5. The following screen appears.
Make sure that the [Print] (
) is selected, and then press the camera's <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
6. The following screen appears. Select [Paper Settings], and press the <FUNC./SET> (
button.
7. The following screen appears. Select the [Paper Size] to print, and press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
8. The following screen appears. Select [Paper Type] (Type of paper), and press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
9. The following screen appears. Select [N-up] to specify how many copies of the image you want to arrange on one sheet of paper. When the setting is made, press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
10. The following screen appears.
The printing screen appears.
Confirm the settings such as paper, size, and layout.
Specify the number of copies to make. This will specify the number of images, not the number of sheets. For example, if you select the [4-up] layout with 4 copies, there will be one sheet of paper with four copies of the same image printed out.
After having confirmed the settings,
select [Print], and press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
11. When printing starts, the following screen will appear.
12. The multiple images will be printed, laid out as shown below.
In the example shown above, [postcard Size] paper with the [4-up] layout and 4 copies of the image are selected for printing.
If 3 copies are made to set instead in
of Step 10, it will then print as follows.
In the example shown above, [postcard Size] paper with the [4-up] layout and 3 copies of the image are selected for printing.
This completes the process of printing multiple images on one sheet of paper.
