Solution
1. Connect the cable from the printer's USB port to the PC's USB port, and then turn the printer ON.
2. Start Windows, and then insert the Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
The Found New Hardware Wizard starts.
3. In the first dialog box of the Found New Hardware Wizard, click [Next].
4. Select [Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)] > click [Next].
5. Select [Specify a location] > click [Next].
6. Click [Browse] to select the folder containing the driver you want to install > click [OK].
You can select the driver from the following folders on the CD-ROM:
PCL5c/PCL5e: \PCL\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista\pcl5e_5c
PCL6: \PCL\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista\pcl6
PS: \PS\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista
UFRII: \UFRII\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista
7. Follow the instructions on the screen > click [Finish] after the files are copied.
The USB driver and the printer driver are now installed.

3. Confirm that [Install the software automatically (Recommended)] is selected > click [Next].
Windows searches for the driver automatically, and then starts the installation.
4. Click [Finish] after the files are copied.
The USB driver and the printer driver are now installed.
IMPORTANT
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears during installation, perform the following operations.
- For Administrator users, click [Allow] or [Continue].
- For Standard users, enter the required Administrator password > click [OK].
1. Connect the cable from the printer's USB port to the PC's USB port, and then turn the printer ON.
2. Start Windows.
The Found New Hardware Wizard starts.
3. Click [Locate and install driver software (recommended)].
NOTE
If the following screen appears, click [Don't search online].
4. Insert the Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Windows searches for the driver automatically.
5. Select the printer driver you want to install > click [Next].
You can select the driver from the following folders on the CD-ROM:
PCL5c/PCL5e: \PCL\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista\pcl5e_5c
PCL6: \PCL\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista\pcl6
PS: \PS\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista
UFRII: \UFRII\uk_eng\32BIT\win2k_vista
NOTE
If the [Windows Security] dialog box appears, click [Install this driver software anyway].
6. Click [Close].
The USB driver and the printer driver are now installed.
