Adjust the scan area (cropping frame) as needed.
You can adjust the scan area within the preview area.
If no area of the preview image has been selected, the entire area within the selected paper size (auto crop area) or film size will be scanned. If an area is specified, only the portion in the cropping frame will be scanned.
CAUTION
You cannot create additional cropping frames when you have chosen the multi crop function with [Multi Crop] in ScanGear's [Advanced Mode].

REFERENCE
Cropping frames are set according to the document size (auto crop) by default.
Create Multiple Cropping Frames
Click and drag the mouse cursor in a space outside the boundaries of the existing cropping frame to create a new cropping frame in that area. The new cropping frame will be the Focus Cropping Frame, and the first cropping frame will be the Unselected Cropping Frame. When you have created two or more cropping frames, you can adjust each cropping frame individually.
You can select multiple cropping frames by clicking them while pressing the Ctrl key.
If you select two or more cropping frames and change the settings on the tab at the right of ScanGear, the settings will be applied to all the selected cropping frames.
When you create a new cropping frame, it retains the settings of the latest cropping frame.
REFERENCE
The maximum numbers of cropping frames are as follows:
- When document type is paper or photograph: 10 frames.
- When document type is film and in thumbnail view: 1 frame per film frame.
- When document type is film and in whole film image view: 30 frames.
Scanning takes longer than usual when multiple cropping frames are selected.
To delete a cropping frame, select it and click
(Remove Cropping Frame) on the toolbar.
Alternatively, press the [Delete] key. You can also delete it by right-clicking it and selecting [Delete].
When you have created two or more cropping frames, all the selected cropping frames (Focus Cropping Frame and Selected Cropping Frames) are deleted simultaneously. You cannot delete all cropping frames simultaneously when document type is film and in whole film image view.
