Ink and Toner Cartridge Recycling Programme - Canon Singapore

A. General

1. This Contest is organised by Canon Singapore Private Limited (“Canon Singapore”). By taking part in this Contest, participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Contest Terms and have met the eligibility criteria stated in these Terms.

2. The Contest is open to all individual Singapore residents only, who are: (i) aged 18 and above as at the start of the Contest Period (as defined below). Participants below the age of 18 shall obtain the necessary consent from their parents/legal guardians before participating in this Contest and submitting any personal information and shall furnish such proof of consent should Canon Singapore require it.

3. Employees of: (a) Canon Singapore; (b) Canon Singapore’s advertising agencies; and the immediate family members of these employees, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
   By participating in the Contest, each participant represents and warrants that he/she has met the eligibility criteria stated in these Contest Terms.

4. Contest Period-Contest begins on 29 August 2025 and ends on 14 November 2025, 11:59 PM SGT. Entries submitted outside this window shall not be eligible for Contest.

B. How to Participate

1. To participate in the Contest, eligible participants should follow the steps below:
   Step 1: Snap a photo of yourself with our ink and toner cartridge recycling bins located at the participating libraries around Singapore.
   Step 2: Post on your Instagram with a creative caption sharing how you can be greener in your daily life.
   Step 3: Make your profile public for the Contest Period.
   Step 4: Follow and tag @CanonSingapore and hashtag #InkfinityGreenPledge to qualify.

2. Only entries that are considered as complete and correct by Canon Singapore will be eligible for Contest. Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.

3. Only one entry per handle is allowed. Multiple submissions will result in only the latest entry being considered final.

4. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt, and Canon Singapore shall not be responsible or liable for any delay or non-receipt of submissions.

C. Participant Covenant

1. Participants shall participate in the Contest on his/her own account and shall not submit entries or participate on behalf of other persons. Each participant represents and warrants that:
   (i) he/she has obtained all necessary consents, licenses and approvals required in connection with the Contest and his/her participation, and.
   (ii) all materials, documents and forms submitted or created by him/her in connection with the Contest are original and do not infringe on the rights of any party, including but not limited to any intellectual property rights, patent, trademark or brand name registered or enforceable anywhere in the world.

D. Notification of Winner

1. The winners will be notified of the date, time and venue of the collection of the prize by Canon Singapore after the Contest period has ended.
2. Based on the submitted contact details, winners will be contacted via a private message on Instagram after the contest is over and the winners have been determined.
   (i) Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall impact.
   (ii) THREE winners will stand to win a Canon PIXMA E470 worth (S$129.00) and announced by end November 2025.
   (iii) The award of prize will be subject to verification to the full satisfaction of Canon Singapore. Any participants who do not comply with the Contest Terms will be disqualified.
3. Participants shall ensure that they always remain contactable. If Canon Singapore fails to contact any winner for any reason whatsoever, it may at its discretion elect to determine another winner in accordance with the Contest mechanism.
4. Canon Singapore may, without notice and at any time, substitute any prize with a prize of similar value, as determined by Canon Singapore. Prizes won are given out on an “as it is” basis, and are not transferable, or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. To the extent not prohibited by law, all warranties and representations in connection with the prizes are expressly excluded. Winners shall collect their prizes in person and shall comply with and be bound by all terms which the prizes may be subject to. 
5. Canon Singapore may, at their sole discretion, modify the Contest Terms, make prize substitutions or cancel this Contest, without prior notice to any person. Canon Singapore decisions on all matters relating to this Contest will be final, binding and conclusive on all participants, and no correspondence will be entertained.
6. Where prize contains a specified validity period during which it should be utilised, no requests for extensions or replacements whatsoever will be entertained. Prizes which remain unclaimed by any winner for 1 month after the announcement of the winner shall be conclusively forfeited by such winner, and the forfeited prize will be dealt with at Canon Singapore discretion in accordance with applicable laws.
7. Canon Singapore may disregard or disqualify any entry, participant or winner, in such manner as Canon Singapore deems fit, without giving notice or reason, and without any liability to any person. No participant shall, or procure another person to, (i) tamper with the operation of the Contest, (ii) participate in the Contest in any manner which may create any prejudice to or anomaly in the scoring system or operation of the Contest; and (iii) breach these Terms or any other applicable law or regulation.
