    Issue

    When installing the printer driver from the CD-ROM, the printer is not recognized automatically even after the USB cable is connected.

    Cause and Solution

    The USB cable has already been connected and the printer is ON before installing the printer driver.
    Perform the following procedure.
    1. Turn the printer OFF. [Turning the Printer ON/OFF]
    2. Disconnect the USB cable.
    3. Connect the USB cable again.
    4. Turn the printer ON. [Turning the Printer ON/OFF]

    The printer is not turned ON.

    The USB cable is not connected properly.
    Make sure that the printer and computer are connected with the USB cable properly. [If You Want to Connect the Printer and Computer with a USB Cable]

    An inappropriate USB cable is being used.
    Use a USB cable with the following symbol.

    - Hi-Speed USB
    - USB (USB1.1 equivalent)

    The USB class driver is installed.
