Print Head Holder Does Not Move to the Center
Issue
NOTE
Opening the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) while printing moves the Print Head Holder to the right
side. Close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), and reopen it after printing finishes.
Cause and Solution
Check if any lamp on the Operation Panel is lit.
The Print Head Holder will not move unless the power is on. If all the lamps on the Operation Panel are off, close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and turn the machine on.
While the COPY button is flashing, the machine is initializing. Wait until the COPY button stops flashing and remains lit, and then open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) again.
Close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), follow the directions displayed in the error message to resolve the error, and then reopen it. See [An Error Message Is Displayed on the LCD].
If the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) is left open for more than 10 minutes, the Print Head Holder moves to the right side to prevent the Print Head from drying out. Close and reopen the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) to return the Print Head Holder to the center.
Close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), wait a while, then reopen it. If the machine has been printing continuously for a long time, the Print Head will overheat, and the Print Head Holder may not move to the center.
