Canon PhotoMarathon with APSN
APSN continued its long-standing partnership with Canon Singapore through its participation in Canon PhotoMarathon, building on a collaboration that has empowered youths with mild intellectual disabilities since 2006. Through photography workshops, imaging equipment loans, and guided photo outings, the partnership has enabled participants to develop creative skills, express their unique perspectives, and experience the joy of photography in an inclusive and supportive environment.
This enduring collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making photography more accessible, fostering confidence, nurturing talent, and creating opportunities for every individual to discover and realise their potential.
Strike for Smiles
Strike for Smiles is Canon Singapore's annual charity bowling event organised with Singapore Bowling that brings communities together to engage children and youths through bowling, carnival activities, and meaningful interactions.
Since its inception in 2023, Strike for Smiles has grown into Canon Singapore's signature charity event, uniting corporate partners, athletes, volunteers, and the wider community in the spirit of giving.
Over its last four editions, the event has raised more than S$100,000 in support of Singapore Children's Society's programmes and services, helping to empower children and youths in need while fostering a stronger, more caring community.
Connecting Generations Through Care
Guided by Canon's Kyosei philosophy, Canon staff volunteers spent meaningful time with elderly residents at the NTUC Health nursing home, creating moments of joy, connection, and belonging. Through photography, interactive games, and heartfelt conversations, the volunteers fostered intergenerational bonds, demonstrating that even the simplest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact and enrich lives across generations.
Environmental Awareness with Youth
In partnership with Youth Corps Singapore (YCS), Canon championed environmental awareness through a series of youth-led Nature Walks, encouraging participants to connect with nature and embrace sustainable living.
Building on this initiative, Canon also sponsored the YCS Nature Photography Competition, which attracted over 500 entries celebrating Singapore's biodiversity. The winning photographs were professionally printed by Canon and exhibited at the Festival of Biodiversity organised by NParks, inspiring the wider community to appreciate and protect the natural environment.
Empowering Gen Z Voices
Through the #iamkyosei initiative, Canon partnered with students from Temasek Polytechnic's School of Business to co-create ideas that would resonate with the next generation. By pitching creative concepts to engage Gen Z audiences, the students demonstrated fresh perspectives, bold creativity, and purpose-driven thinking, reflecting a deep understanding of the spirit of Kyosei.
Their innovative ideas not only inspired new ways for Canon to build meaningful connections with young people but also reinforced the importance of empowering the next generation to shape a more inclusive and connected future.
Nurturing Young Nature Champions
Canon Singapore proudly supported Nature Society Singapore's 4th Every Singaporean a Naturalist Biodiversity Race, which brought together 46 teams comprising 177 students from 14 local schools to explore and document Singapore's rich natural heritage. During the event, participants recorded an impressive 951 observations across 106 species, deepening their appreciation of local biodiversity while contributing valuable data to citizen science and conservation efforts.
As the Official Imaging Equipment Sponsor, Canon provided camera equipment to support biodiversity documentation, empowering participants to capture and record the diverse flora and fauna encountered throughout the race.
Uniting Communities Through Sport
Canon Active Day 2025, held at the Sports Hub, brought together 280 participants for an afternoon of sports, dance, and interactive games that celebrated the joy of movement, friendship, and inclusion. The event welcomed 60 beneficiaries from APSN Katong and APSN Centre for Adults, alongside volunteers from the Youth Corps volunteer network, creating a vibrant environment where people of all abilities could connect, participate, and thrive together.
Organised by Canon in collaboration with ActiveSG, the event supported Canon’s objective of creating social inclusion and strengthening community bonds.
EOS Academy School Programme

Since 2014, the EOS Academy school programme offers a wide array of photography and videography courses to all schools and institutions based in Singapore ranging from fundamental technique training to advance courses on top of complimentary programmes - “Introduction to Photography” and “Introduction to Videography”. The workshops expose students to the world of photography with new knowledge in handling cameras and enhance the learners’ skills in storytelling.
Partnership with Singapore Bowling Federation

Canon also contribute to the community wellbeing through its strong support for sports activities.
One excellent example is the long-standing partnership with Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF) since 2008, which helps local bowlers realise their full potential at international events like the Asian Games Champion and the World Bowling Women’s Championships.
This long term sponsorship over a decade enables SBF to develop more customised programmes to help athletes, and at the same time elevate the popularity of bowling as a national sport in Singapore.
