The RF85mm f/2 Macro IS STM is equipped with a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (IS), which processes information from in-lens gyro and acceleration sensors to offer up to 5 shutter speed stops’ image stabilisation. Attached to EOS R5, an effect of up to 8 shutter speed stops’ equivalent can be achieved, letting you get bolder with your handheld, low-light creativity.
Beautiful, Creamy Bokeh
The wide maximum aperture of f/2, together with the nine-blade circular aperture and medium telephoto focal length combine to achieve beautiful, creamy background bokeh that makes your subjects stand out from the background.
Get Creative with Macro
The 0.5x maximum magnification, achievable a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m, means that you can capture subjects as close as approximately 21cm from the front of the lens.
