The RF16mm f/2.8 STM has a minimum focusing distance of 0.13m for up to 0.26x magnification, allowing for a more dynamic approach to ultra-wide-angle perspective. At f/2.8, it would also give pleasing bokeh.
Compact Lightweight Design
Designed to be small and portable, the RF16mm f/2.8 STM is comparable to the popular RF50mm f/1.8 STM in terms of size. Weighing at only approx. 165g, it makes an ideal combination for those who want ultra-wide-angle lens with minimum weight and size.
Outstanding Image Quality from Edge to Edge
Dual Function Switch
RF16mm f/2.8 STM uses only one Focus/Control selector switch to change between focusing and control ring function, making the design more compact.
RF Mount
Taking advantage of the RF mount which enables large-diameter elements to be placed closer to the image plane, allows RF16mm f/2.8 STM to be more lightweight and compact while delivering high image quality.
PMo Aspheric Lens
Placing a single PMo aspheric lens in the focus group allows for high image quality across the image from infinity to minimum distance.
Super Spectra Coating
This special coating on the RF16mm f/2.8 STM reduces flaring and ghosting. The coating also prevents contrast loss in a backlit scenario for a sharper and clearer image.
