The HF G70 provides high-quality 4K images with UVC (USB Video Class), a 1/2.3-type CMOS sensor, an optical 20x zoom lens, an enhanced LCD, and Fast & Slow-motion recording capabilities.

The 1/2.3” CMOS sensor supports 4K recording for high-definition video even in an entry model.
DIGIC DV 6

High zoom & wide-angle
The HF G70 offers 20x optical zoom as well as wide angle and high magnification to meet a variety of shooting needs.
Five-axis image stabilisation
The electronic correction function significantly reduces image distortion, even when shooting while walking, resulting in clear and sharp videos.
3.5-inch LCD
The 2.76 million-dot LCD has four levels of backlight brightness that make it easier to see during outdoor news coverage and other shoots.

USB Video Class (UVC)

The tiltable electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 1.77-million dots allows users to check the on-screen image in crisp detail even in bright outdoor conditions.

4K UHD & High Image Quality Full HD
The HF G70 features DIGIC DV 6 high-performance video processing platform that enables 4K UHD 4:2:0 8-bit shooting and output. It also supports Over Sampling HD Processing for premium quality Full HD utilising the 4K sensor.

Supports the highly versatile H.264 MP4 format for 4K UHD 4:2:0 8-bit recording.
Amazing Zoom Capability
The HF G70 has a 20x optical zoom lens that starts at 29.3mm (35mm equivalent) and can be used for a variety of purposes.
Powerful Image Stabilisation
Five-axis image stabilisation
The electronic correction function that comes with a Dynamic Mode can substantially reduces image shake, even when shooting while walking, resulting in clear and sharp videos.
Slow and Fast (S&F) Motion Recording
Creative possibilities are further enhanced with slow & fast motion recording. Durations for shooting and playback at specific set numerical values displayed on the screen, letting users verify the effects at a glance.

USB Video Class (UVC)
The HF G70 supports UVC for better computer compatibility. Simply connect the camera with a USB cable, and the computer can recognise it as a webcam for online conferences, classes, and more without special software.
OSD Recording
With the new function of on-screen display (OSD) recording, it allows the HF G70 to be used as a surveilance camera, enhancing its value as it can be used for verification. Information such as date, time, time code and other text on the screen can be recorded. Users can select the items to be displayed and its recording position.

800x Digital Zoom
The ability to zoom up to 800x digitally allows user to enlarge in to check on details for monitoring, security and other purposes.
High definition LCD
The 3.5-inch LCD has 2.76 million dots, allowing for high definition images with crisp detail. There are four backlight brightness available on this LCD (about twice as bright as previous models).
The enhanced visibility is especially helpful for outdoor shoots of documentaries, news reports, and other media.
Tiltable EVF with High Dot Count
The 0.36-inch electronic viewfinder (EVF) has a high pixel count of approx. 1.77 million dots, so users can check the picture on the screen and see even minute details clearly. The tiltable, easy-to-use viewfinder helps you shoot by making it easy to see even when it's bright outside.
