Itinerary

12 Aug - Arrive Delhi, transfer to hotel for quick briefing as the group assembles.
13 Aug (B,L,D) - Transfer to airport for our morning departure to Leh. At over 3000m, we take it easy as we explore Leh Town and local markets. By evening, we transfer to Shanti Stupa for some blue hour photography and a shoot of the Milky Way (pending weather). Overnight Leh.
14 Aug (B,L,D) - After breakfast, we visit Thiksey Gompa to photograph this scenic monastery in morning light. Explore the mysterious stupas and village surrounding Thiksey as our guide explains more about this monastery affliated to the Gelug Buddhism sect. We continue onto Pangong Tso, one of the highest lakes in the world bordering India, China and Tibet. We arrive back into Leh late night. Overnight Leh.
15 Aug (B,L,D) - This morning, we check out of our accommodation in Leh and head toward Nubra Valley further north. We have a quick stopover at the Shey Palace and Monastery for some panoramic views of the surrounding farmlands in this once deserted area. We travel past the highest mountain pass in the world - Khardung La Pass at about 5359m before continuing onto Nubra about 4 hours away. Arrive by late afternoon for check-in at our simple guesthouse before heading to Hunder sand dunes for a staged shoot of the local Bacterian camels and their herders. Overnight Nubra Valley
16 Aug (B,L,D) - After breakfast, we visit the most beautiful Diskey Monastery and photograph the exterior in morning light. We take our time to explore the intricate interiors and photograph surrounding landscapes from our vantage point. After lunch, we drive further north to Panamik village for some good surrounding views of the countryside and to exprience the local hot springs. Return to hotel for dinner before heading out to the Matreiya Buddha for some astrophotography (pending weather). Overnight Nubra Valley
17 Aug (B,L,D) - We spend half a day free and easy at Nubra Valley, enjoying the wonderful natural landscapes before heading back to Leh. Overnight Leh.
18 Aug (B,L) - After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our return journey back to Delhi where we have our farewell meal reminiscing on the past week's adventure. Evening transfer to the airport for our return journey back to Singapore.
