SINGAPORE, 25 June 2025 — Canon today announced the launch of the imageFORCE C7165, a colour multi-function device (MFD) that leverages a unique new exposure technology for excellent printed output. imageFORCE is Canon’s latest product line of MFDs that builds on its heritage and reputation as a market leader in printing technologies. The newest range also inherits the impeccable quality of Canon’s award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX series.

For the imageFORCE C7165, the printer is equipped with new printing technology to carry out high-quality in-house printing of materials like brochures, posters, and other wider applications. The imageFORCE C7165 is also designed to meet the ever-evolving business needs in today’s modern workspaces, with its advanced security features and sustainable engineering that delivers high-performance printing solutions for the digital age.

“Fitting seamlessly into the modern office ecosystem, the imageFORCE C7165 will help companies leverage on the latest technology to stay competitive in the ever-changing business landscape. With the introduction of the D² Exposure Technology in the imageFORCE C7165, high quality in-house printing can be achieved, effectively reducing the need for outsourcing,” said Andrew Koh, Senior Vice President and Head of Singapore Operations Group, Canon Singapore.

Enhanced Print Quality to Boost Creativity
Canon has developed a unique exposure technology D² Exposure Technology that uses organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) as the light source to achieve superior print quality. With up to 4800 dpi resolution, users can produce vibrant prints with smooth gradients and sharp text. This greatly enhances the quality of printed materials and increases creative options for businesses, as different types of applications can be produced in-house.

Features that make the imageFORCE C7165 ideal for printing high-quality materials in-house include:

    • D² Exposure Technology: Canon’s new technology produces richer colour prints enabling easy in-house production of flyers, posters, brochures, and banners of longer length. Additionally, it simplifies the process of producing sales materials such as business cards, postcards, and marketing collaterals, thereby reducing the need for outsourcing.
    • Improved Paper Feeding: The new imageFORCE range includes an air-assisted paper feeding manual tray to help prevent paper adhesion during manual feeding, allowing users to print continuously on coated paper. Air-assisted paper feeding allows for automatic adjustments when there are changes in the environment and paper types. This feature improves the efficiency of printing output on coated paper as it allows up to 50 sheets of 128 g paper to be loaded at once. It also supports larger paper sizes and water-resistant paper, which enables the in-house production of assets such as posters and banners.

Built-in Security That Protects Your Business
As print environments become increasingly connected, device and network security are more critical than ever. The imageFORCE C7165 is designed with comprehensive security features, offering capabilities such as secure print, data encryption, and cloud-based user authentication via Microsoft Entra ID. Its Security Environment Estimation feature analyses the devices’ network environment and recommends optimal security settings on the operation panel. This technology makes it easy to achieve a robust level of device security, even for companies who do not possess in-house security expertise. It is also possible to detect when real-time changes occur to the network, thus notifying the user and minimising security vulnerabilities due to missing settings.

The device is also certified with FIPS 140-3, meeting advanced cryptographic standards required by government and enterprise-level organisations. Its security architecture includes TPM 2.0 hardware encryption, purge-level data erasure per NIST SP800-88, and SIEM integration for real-time threat monitoring.

    Supporting Environmental Sustainability
Under the new imageFORCE range, consideration has been made on the impact to the environment at every stage of its lifecycle and production. For example, the new imageFORCE C7165 is built with 30% recycled plastic content.
