At Canon Singapore, we believe in a future where everyone can thrive, making this SG60 celebration more meaningful for us and the remarkable youths of APSN schools.

In the spirit of Kyosei, close to 60 participants from APSN Katong, APSN Centre for Adults, and the Youth Corps volunteer network gathered to commemorate this nation building milestone. The crowd of 280 shared an afternoon of fun, dance, and exciting games. New friendships blossomed, and many delightful memories were captured. We are proud to partner with ActiveSG to champion inclusion through wellness and sport.

Seeing clearly can transform lives, and Canon India’s iCare Project demonstrates this through their commitment in delivering quality eye care to underserved communities. Launched in 2008 with the Venu Eye Institute and Research Center, the programme focuses on prevention and rehabilitation for the visually impaired.

Its tiered healthcare model comprises specialised hospitals, satellite centres, and mobile clinics, providing accessibility for eye care to local villages. With a focus on prevention, thousands have benefited from regular screenings, corrective glasses, and cataract surgeries. Canon India envisions a clearer world for all.

Love deserves to be remembered. Canon Hong Kong celebrated deep connections and lifelong partnerships at the 55th anniversary of Hong Kong Revival Christian Church. The festivities featured an Emerald Wedding Ceremony for around 55 couples who missed their chance to have their wedding photos professionally shot. Some had been married for decades but never took wedding photos or even held a formal ceremony.

With heartfelt support, Canon Hong Kong offered wedding photography and print services, and these couples finally created portraits of love which will last through time.

One Canon One Tree is Canon Marketing Malaysia’s environmental conservation initiative that goes beyond tree planting. Each year, Canon staff and their families plant trees, join green workshops, and participate in activities that build awareness and appreciation for nature.

To date, the programme has seen over 10,000 trees planted nationwide, contributing to Malaysia’s goal of 100 million trees by 2025. Its impact continues to grow, earning eight consecutive Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards. In 2025, the initiative introduced tree tagging technology to monitor tree and strengthen impact with greater accountability. With every seed planted, Canon Marketing Malaysia grows a greener tomorrow.

Most of us can read a story with ease, but for others, stories can only be heard. Recognising the challenges faced by the visually impaired, Canon Marketing Thailand carried out a volunteer initiative in support of the Daisy Thailand Project. DAISY, short for Digital Accessible Information System, creates audiobooks for the visually impaired.

For this, 30 volunteers from Canon Marketing Thailand lent their voices to record short articles on topics such as IT, travel, history, food, and health. These recordings were shared with the Thailand Association of the Blind to be compiled into audiobooks, making knowledge more accessible for everyone.

Famed for its rich biodiversity, the Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is home to many of Vietnam’s many unique and endangered bird species. As a key partner of Vietnam Bird Race, Canon Marketing Vietnam supported activities such as conservation talks, birdwatching seminars, a book launch, and an art auction dedicated to bird protection.

The two-day event welcomed 93 local and international bird photographers, along with nearly 100 local children. With the introduction of a new youth birdwatching category, youths are encouraged to connect with nature. Beyond fostering appreciation for biodiversity, the race also contributed valuable data on bird species for future research and conservation initiatives.

The future begins with the young. Canon Marketing Taiwan rolled out Young Popcorn, a dynamic student Ambassador programme to engage students in photography and storytelling, whose content are then featured on their official platforms.

These ambassadors also lead workshops for fellow youths, sharing techniques and hands-on experience with Canon products to inspire creative expression through visual storytelling. Across 10 local high schools, 250 students have joined the Young Popcorn series. Canon Marketing Taiwan is empowering and growing a community of young creators learning to see the world not just through a lens, but with a vision.

For the launch of its 2025 corporate social responsibility initiatives, Canon Marketing Philippines reaffirmed their commitment to environmental stewardship with a coastal cleanup at Baseco Beach in Tondo, Manila. Around 50 Canon employee volunteers came together to remove plastic waste and debris from the shoreline.

Beyond the cleanup, they collaborated with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) to promote proper waste management, recycling, and environmental awareness. These are part of a larger roadmap to drive shared responsibility between businesses like Canon and local communities.

Launched in 2007 with the Kyoto Culture Association (NPO), Canon Inc.’s Tsuzuri Project bridges innovation and tradition to preserve Japan’s cultural heritage. By combining Canon’s advanced imaging technology with traditional Kyoto craftsmanship, the project brings national treasures to life through high-fidelity replicas that capture every texture and nuance.

Once hidden from the public due to preservation needs, these artefacts are now within sight. By recreating them in stunning detail, the project protects originals while ensuring Japan’s heritage continues to inspire new generations.
