After more than 40 years in the business, rock photographer Eddie Sung is no stranger to the photography world, both locally and overseas.
Not only has he taken photos of renowned rock stars such as Aerosmith, The Beach Boys and Kitaro, some of his works have also won the prestigious Lucie Awards, graced the walls of Hard Rock Cafes, rock musicians’ CDs, DVDs, and websites, as well as covers/pages of leading newspapers and photographic magazines. Eddie is also the first Asian photographer represented by the Morrison Hotel Gallery – a true testament of his photographic prowess and talent.
But even the best in their field need support. Eddie is candid about how Canon – particularly the Canon Professional Services (CPS) department – plays an integral part in his quest for excellence and in achieving his signature “one shot one kill” captures.
Our Service Engineer, Andry Tan, is part of that team. In his role as a Professional Technician, a keen eye for detail is necessary as he deals with cameras on a daily basis, diagnosing and rectifying technical issues. Andry and his team also go the extra mile to ensure that customers get their equipment back within three working days, while not compromising on quality.
And this excellent service is what makes Eddie so impressed with Canon’s services. In this exclusive one-on-one with him, Eddie shares more about his accomplishments and career as a photographer, and how the CPS team has been a strong pillar of support in helping him pursue his passion and journey to excellence.
