In the first 3 years of the company’s existence, technicians from pest control specialist Aardwolf Pestkare had been manually filling out service reports for each on-site servicing run.
But the quality of handwriting and the possibility of accidental damage often left the reports illegible; this made record keeping a fairly difficult task.
To solve this issue, the company introduced computerization, via the use of electronic PDAs. After 10 years, this system was starting to show its age too. So the company looked at the latest IT products to further digitize service reporting and to tap on the full potential of 3G technology.
Following a successful trial run, Aardwolf Pestkare made the switch to an Android tablet and printer combination in May 2012.
