Features

Advanced Autofocus technology

Canon's Advanced Autofocus Technology keeps images in focus so camera operators can concentrate on the shot. It employs a TTL-Secondary Image Registration Phase-detection system, originally developed for single-lens reflex still cameras, to ensure both high-accuracy and a high tracking capability. Two autofocus operating modes are available as well as a choice of three positions of the AF frame in the viewfinder.

Power Optical System

The DIGISUPER 27 AF features outstanding HD optical performance that will dramatically improve HDTV studio imagery. The key optical performance features include minimized distortion, even though the wide angle has been expanded to an exceptional 6.5mm. This lens also offers significantly reduced Ghosting and Flare. Reaching this incredible optical quality is only possible because of Canon's unique optical design concept, the POWER OPTICAL SYSTEM.

CAFS (Constant Angle Focusing System)

Encoders report to the 32-bit CPU - which, in turn, calculates during the focusing actuation to tightly control a synchronized zoom counter action that eliminates focus "breathing" (undesired change of angle of view that can accompany focus changes). This Constant Angle Focusing System is identified by the CAFS logo
